Definition of Eco Green Living
Environmentally friendly, sustainable living, carbon foot print, eco green living and so on. Lately, these words seem to be overused to an extent where they are losing their meanings. If I recycle, am I living green? Is this enough? To understand exactly what the meaning of Eco Green Living is, we must clearly define it. Let’s explain this term we will often use on Thegreenhouse-effect.com.
Measure Your Impact: Carbon Footprint
In order to make changes to live in an environmentally friendly manner, we need a technique to measure our impact. A good way to do so is to measure your carbon footprint.
Last semester, I was surprised to find a plastic bag of frozen banana peals, lettuce and used grinded coffee in my new roommate’s freezer. Being a student at McGill University in Montreal, (Québec, Canada) she explained that an On-Campus Composting program exists at her school. I decided to investigate this whole “On Campus Composting”.
Vegetarian Meal Plan: Simple and Easy
In my attempts to live a greener life, I took the decision to lower my meat consumption. Switching to a vegetarian diet could lower your carbon footprint by up to 1.5 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Don't forget that I am a University student living on a small budget. This menu plan was prepared accordingly with cheaper, easy and quick vegetarian meals.
